COmotion Sports had a small but successful bike team when I started working with them. I worked at an ad agency in Denver and a guy came up to my desk and asked me if I could help him with a jersey design that needed to be done in 2 days. The guy at my desk was Stephen, who started the team. Turns out the designer that they had crashed his bike and needed time to heal. Stephen and I got that first jersey to the manufacturer on time and I continued to work with Stephen and the team for the next 5 years.
The projects I did for COmotion were varied and I learned a lot about preparing files for printing as far as clothing (custom jerseys, shorts, shirts, hats, etc) vehicle graphics, marketing, website design and maintenance. I also learned how to correct, update and clean-up logos for our applications. The team changed sponsors and advertisers all the time and I had to keep up.

One of my favorite projects was the Media Kit. It was sent out to the sponsors and advertisers to keep them on for another season, and to get new sponsors. I had to take all of the stats, text and photos and create a design that will interest people enough to invest. These were quick reads, averaging 8-10 pages (although it does help sales when the team just keeps on winning). I did some photography on this project and did tons of effects on other photographs. I also wrote some of the taglines and a bit of text here and there.
